9News Melbourne is preparing to say goodbye to one of its most popular stars this month. Livinia Nixon, the city's beloved weather presenter, will sign off on November 18. She first joined the network in 1997 and has been the lead weather presenter since 2004.
Livinia Nixon’s Departure
The 50-year-old announced her surprising decision to leave on Friday, explaining she wants to focus on her family as her sons enter high school.
"After 20 years presenting weather on 9News, I've decided to step back from this role. My sons will both be in high school and I want to be there to support them. It's been a privilege to be welcomed into viewers' homes for so long, but this is the right time for my family."
