On Thursday, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints announced that Elder Gérald Caussé has been called to serve as the newest member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles.
The Quorum of the Twelve Apostles represents the highest leadership authority in the church. Elder Caussé replaces the vacancy created by the passing of President Russell M.
“Apostles are special witnesses of the name of Christ throughout the world,” the Church newsroom reported. “They also engage in significant administrative responsibilities, overseeing the operation and development of a global church.”
