Remembrance Day Parade Returns to Fort St. John

The city of Fort St. John will hold its annual Remembrance Day parade and ceremony on November 11th to honor fallen Canadian soldiers and recognize active service members and veterans.

Event Schedule

The parade will start at 10:40 a.m. outside the School District 60 office on 102nd Street. It will continue past the Royal Canadian Legion building on 105th Avenue, reach City Hall, and return to the cenotaph for the outdoor ceremony.

After the Ceremony

Following the ceremony, participants and guests are invited into the legion for a day of community activities. Events listed include horse races, a turkey shoot, and a community dinner. Attendance is free and no registration is required.

Traffic and Road Closures

According to a press release from the city, road closures will be in effect along the parade route and near the legion building from 9:30 a.m. to noon on the 11th, with no vehicle access whatsoever.
