Prince Harry has rejected suggestions that his recent travel announcement was intended to overshadow his brother, Prince William. The Duke of Sussex’s team emphasized that the timing of his planned visit to Canada was purely logistical.
"The period of time in which we can release details of events is much more truncated than it is for His Majesty the King or the Prince of Wales," said Harry’s spokesman.
According to Harry’s representatives, the Duke does not receive the same level of security or protection as active working royals, which limits how far in advance he can publicize official appearances. This clarification followed commentary from a royal expert who had described the apparent scheduling conflict as “predictable.”
Meanwhile, Prince William was in Brazil for a five-day Earthshot Prize tour, beginning with an engagement at Rio de Janeiro’s Sugarloaf Mountain to mark the initiative’s fifth anniversary.
Prince Harry dismissed claims of rivalry with Prince William, saying his trip announcement timing was restricted by security constraints, not competition.
