Prince Albert II’s official visit to Paraguay on November 3 marked a significant step in strengthening economic and environmental ties between the two countries.
The Sovereign was warmly received with military honours in Asunción and began his visit with a solemn wreath-laying at the National Pantheon of Heroes, a revered site of Paraguayan remembrance. He was accompanied by General Alcides Lovera and Ambassador Rubén Ramírez Lezcano, signing the visitor’s book and learning about the site's history.
On November 4, Prince Albert attended an economic conference alongside President Santiago Peña. He welcomed the presence of eleven Monegasque companies representing the Principality’s dynamic sectors, including health, logistics, agri-food, tourism, finance, and technology.
“This forum marks a new chapter in the friendship between Paraguay and Monaco — a partnership based on trust and shared responsibility,” the Sovereign declared.
The visit underlines a growing collaboration focused on sustainable development and business innovation between Monaco and Paraguay.
