The United Nations has reported that the genocide against Palestinians in Gaza continues. According to Pars Today, in a new report by Francesca Albanese, the UN Special Rapporteur on human rights in the occupied Palestinian territories, the humanitarian crisis in Gaza is described as a "clear genocide."
“Israel, disregarding ceasefire agreements, continues to kill, displace, and starve the Palestinian people.” — Francesca Albanese
The report examines not only military actions but also sexual violence, the destruction of healthcare infrastructure, and the mass imprisonment of Palestinians. It states that more than 200 Palestinians were killed after the ceasefire was declared, emphasizing Israel’s ongoing violations of international agreements.
Albanese accused nations that provide political or military support to Israel of being complicit in the genocide, urging accountability over the transfer of weapons and diplomatic backing.
The report highlights deliberate attacks on health institutions, noting the bombing of the maternity ward at Al-Basma Hospital, which caused the deaths of thousands of Palestinian fetuses. International observers have viewed this tragedy as an attempt to prevent the continuation of the Palestinian population.
Over 10,000 Palestinians remain imprisoned in Israeli jails, while Israeli detainees have already been released. This situation underscores the asymmetric treatment between the two sides of the conflict.
The UN report led by Francesca Albanese condemns Israel’s ongoing actions in Gaza as genocidal, calling for global accountability and the protection of Palestinian lives and rights.
