The recording, according to Chosun, included a personal greeting from Cha Eun-woo, thanking fans for their support while he serves in the military.
The idea was meant to engage fans, many of whom expressed excitement at hearing his voice during his military service. However, several fans reportedly misdialed the number, leading to unintended calls to unrelated parties.
Fantagio’s Apology and Clarification
The next day, Fantagio issued a formal apology, clarifying that the number mentioned in the official post was the only correct one linked to the campaign. The agency also urged fans to avoid dialing any other numbers.
“We deeply apologize for any confusion caused and appreciate fans for their understanding and continued support,” the statement read.
Cha Eun-woo’s Current Projects
Cha Eun-woo began his mandatory military service in July 2025. During a YouTube livestream prior to enlistment, he discussed his determination to stay positive and maintain connection with fans. Since then, official updates have occasionally shown him in uniform.
