Our horror short film contest spotlighting the dangers of plastic pollution concluded just in time for Halloween. We received entries from around the world, including Argentina, Italy, Kenya, Mexico, and the United States. The films were exceptional, and we applaud all creators who delivered sustainable, eerie, and engaging pieces.
Each filmmaker submitted a sustainability report, evaluated by our partner Earth Angel. They detailed how they eliminated single-use plastics, sourced materials and vendors responsibly, and incorporated energy-efficient methods in production. This led to films that emphasized eco-friendly practices while educating their teams on minimizing environmental impact.
Narrowing down the top five was challenging, but with help from our expert judges, we proudly present the winners of Plastic Kills... Again!
“Gorgeous art direction and high production value. We were immediately transported into their world. The concept was truly frightening.”
The winning film explores a world overwhelmed by plastic, where humans begin to "plastify," facing a spreading plastic pandemic. Yet, hope remains with the Eco Clinic, which offers a cure.
This contest showcased outstanding films that combine horror with sustainability, proving that eco-conscious filmmaking can captivate and educate audiences globally.
