Sandy, an inexperienced eagle plunged from its cozy nest earlier this week. The bird lost its footing while perched in a towering tree and hit the forest floor. An unobtrusive live webcam was rolling and now streams nonstop as scouts and wildlife experts hunt for the eaglet.
Park rangers are thoroughly scanning the area for any signs injury. The camera has been pulling thousands of viewers from across nearby communities. It will stay online until the eaglet is found or officially declared missing.
