Ryan Fox closed out the tournament by a single shot after a nervy birdie on the final green. Cameron Young seized the early initiative with a strong charge on the front nine. Fox took command with a clutch putt down the stretch. Tommy Fleetwood came agonisingly close of a playoff spot. Fox got off the major board at last on a brutal Open layout. Relentless winds never eased up on the duneland course. Years of narrow misses finally ended in triumph on Sunday for the Kiwi.
